Loving kids came naturally to me, and it’s what drew me to pediatric dentistry right from the start of my MDS journey. Years of consultations taught me something important: children need more than just a treatment and a checklist. They need a space that welcomes them before anything else happens. That realization is what led me to create Tiny Tusk.

How a visit goes
How a visit actually goes
Four gentle beats, and the mark they draw between them.
Detection
We start by looking, gently. A count of the teeth, a look at how they meet, and a chat about what you have noticed at home. Nothing is sharp and nothing is sudden. Your child sits with you, and we explain each thing before it happens.
Treatment
If something needs doing, we tell your child exactly what it will feel like, in words they can hold on to. They get to say when we start. Most visits need nothing more than a clean, and when more is needed it is over quickly.
Care
Then the part that happens at home. We send you off with a plan that fits your actual evenings, with the brush that suits their grip, the paste that suits their age, and one thing to focus on rather than ten.
Smile!
And they leave pleased with themselves. That is the bit that matters most, because a child who is not frightened of the dentist grows into an adult who is not either. That is the whole job, really.

Around their first birthday, or when the first tooth appears. It is mostly a gentle look and a chance to make the room familiar.
Can I stay with them?
Always. Your child can sit with you, hold your hand, or have you nearby while they find their feet.
What if they will not open their mouth?
That is completely okay. We do not force a visit into one appointment. Sometimes the win is simply sitting in the chair and coming back feeling safe.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes. Call us for pain, a break, swelling, or a knocked-out tooth and we will talk you through the next step and find the earliest appropriate slot.
